Levant Mine - Man Engine Shaft

At the bottom of the steps is a horizontal access tunnel. It has been re-opened as a memorial for one of Cornwall's worst mining disasters. Along this tunnel holes have been dug out where the Levant miners kept their possessions during their shift. They were on their way to the Man Engine to start their shift.
